The five photos in the middle row above tell a real story of nature's wonders. Our resident pair of swans had three cygnets in 2013. The two photos on the left were taken on 13 June when the cygnets were days old. The three on the right show the family making their stately progress from the lake to the canal on 13 August - just two months later. See how fast the cygnets grew!
(left) This newt was found during hedge-planting in January 2014.
By January 2014 the adult swans only had one offspring left and were doing their best to get it to leave! See story in issue 6 of our newsletter (available on this site).
